Now is the best time to visit Tulum..low prices combined with less crowd.

Since I just shared my secret for low cost accomodations in PDC, I guess I should share my secret for low cost airfare too..

Apple Vacations charter airline, USA3000. Check them out at:
www.usa3000.com

But, please, if you book from Cincinnati, leave me 2 seats on May 5th!

How much of a difference is there with the crowds with low vs. high season? I assume there are *always* people there at any time, but just curious. Less crowds would be great, but I wouldn't want to walk into a complete ghost-town either, lol. And what type of crowd is it, mostly Americans, Europeans, etc. or a mix of everything?

I'm going in early May, start of the low season... When I booked my room on Copal's site, there wasn't much availability, they only had a few cabanas left.

I don't think that in Tulum, you will see much difference, but, I haven't been there in the summer either, so I could be wrong. I think about the only difference you will see is that you can find a place to stay if you wing it, there are places available. There are those who love the beach and atmosphere in Tulum just as much in the heat of the summer as in the warmth of the winter, so I doubt the area is ever really deserted.

the prices for cabanas off season are still not that cheap....they do go down somewhat in playa till july then up again since that is when playa gets filled with italians visiting through end of august...this is probably true with tulum also....
