"Tulum Land And Beach Access Opens Up"

Major improvements to Tulum's infrastructure took another step forward, this week, with the resurfacing of the Kulkulkan road, a new route connecting the main highway with prime Tulum land and beaches.

The road improvements make Tulum land along the southern beach strip more accessible.

The latest investment forms part of the authorities' fast-moving plans to develop the area in a convenient, responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.

The newly tarmacked road lies south of the existing one and will be a main artery through the "Kulkulkan Region".

Much of this zone is still undeveloped and offers many opportunities for investors looking to buy into Tulum land and other real estate projects.

The road runs along one side of the Aldea Zama project and connects Tulum town to the coast and some of the area's most pristine Caribbean white sand beaches.

Not sure exactly where this road connects with the beach road, but I think it runs into the beach road somewhere around Zamas.

Yikes!
Here's the road - these pics were taken about 4 years ago, I think. Last I saw, this road near Zamas was kinda overgrown.

We had walked back there once, but turned around after we got that creepy we're in the middle of nowhere feeling and had left our other son back at La Conchita.

Thanks Pepper.
I never noticed that road before in all our trips to and from Zamas.
We'll drive it when we are there in two weeks and get some pics to share.
Wonder where it connects in the pueblo.

the Kukulkan neighborhood is moving forward, but I do not believe it reaches the planned outlet that is just after the zamas rooms. where the Solar panel RV was parked is close to where is proposes to connect. to connect to the beach road they are missing granted access from the owners. this will probably happen one day, but for now I do not think you will see a paved road from 307 to the beach there. Please prove me wrong, i know many people that want those lots to have that access.
