Hi, could anyone please tell me around how much do you spend per day in Tulum (food, beer, wine). Im renting a car so leave out tours. I just want to relax, eat, and drink a lot, hahaha... thank you

food and drink prices are what you could expect at home. this is the Riviera Maya, not an interior pueblo.
$7-10 per meal depending on where you eat. of course there are deals but if you are on the beach you will be around the pricy spots.
try to hit the Mezannine 2 for 1 happy hour margaritas. you will get your fill of good drinks that way, and a great view.
I always bring two bottles of wine, that will save you, and will be convenient when you want to stare at the stars with a shiraz.

Breakfast and lunch on the beach - around $10 for each.
Dinner on the beach $15-25 person.
Mixed drinks are typically around $6.
Going into town, you'll spend about half as much for meals.

Good answers! I never know how to answer that question because it's too obvious! It is the same as home!
I love to eat in the pueblo and save money. Even at that I can't get out of there without spending 600 a week. That does include my rental car and gas and groceries in addition to eating out. And some house keeping issues like getting my lawn cut and laundry done. I really need to cut the rental car out of there. It's just so convenient.

:wave:Pepper has it about right.....including drinks....that is the deal, they are pretty expensive.....Although there are some places in town that are expensive too, there are a lot that are great food and great values.

Hubby and I budget $100 a day for two and that is living is up, this is for food and drink... we almost never spend that. But that is what we budget for that way, we have room for spending cash, the extra fuel if we take a trip, etc. We dont cook really down there, maybe the odd breakfast, toast, coffee, fruit, but do eat at the taco stands when we can, Bronco Pollo - yes fantastic and can get it to go! I would guess $5 to $7 for lunch and breakfast one person and then anywhere from $10 to $25 for dinner. Some places in town do have 2 for 1 Margs at night, that is fun.
Like anything you can do it cheap if you take time to do research and you can live it up if you want!
Either way - you will be in Paradise so ITS ALL GOOD - right:sun::sun:?

That chicken made in Tulum is wonderful. Been a few years, but I remember it clearly and wish I could make it!

To save a few peso's on our trips. We bring a "bubba keg" or insulated cup along in the luggage. Pick up bottle of Tequila & Crown at the Duty Free store by the baggage claim in the airport. Mix our own drinks for hanging on the beach during the day.

Would love to have dinner for $15-25 including drinks, where?
How many drinks, one I am thinking.
What is the food being served?
Breakfast and lunch for $10.00 is a steal, nice find on that. Where?

Actually, those prices were w/o drinks (coffee, oj or alcohol)...that's how it works for us, anyhow.

"tacos de canasta" for breakfast will save you sooo much money that you can splurge on drinks for lunch and dinner.
first Glorieta on the east, on the corner, yellow umbrella.
