All the time I been in Tulum I have not seen a laundry service, but I'm sure there is one, I just have not see it. Going to need some cloths washed after our stay at Xamach Dos and I'm sure the Coconut Bocci is going to be a dirty game too. Thanks for any information

Your hotel in Tulum may offer to have clothes laundered. Or there is Los Gemelos on the west side of 307 in town - next day service.

We've use the laundry service right near Pat y Pat and it has totally changed how we pack for our trips! One stop mid week -- in by 9-ish, done by 5-ish -- and we cut our luggage burden in half. I don't recall the name of the laundry, but if you can find Pat y Pat, you can find this place.

Coconut Bocci a dirty game? No it ain't, its the players. The title this year is up for grabs and I for one will do anything to distract and or disable my opponents. Be prepared buddy!

Wait just one minute my dear hubby.... if you and the CANADIAN (Who shall remain nameless but frequents this board) are making me take Just CARRY-ONS for a two week stay AND THEN DELIVER IT TO THE LAUNDRY you are sadly mistaken my love! i will gladly pack light, I will gladly tolerate the said CANADIANS grungy smelly shirt, I will gladly not take hair utensils, but I WILL NOT DELIVER THE DIRTY LAUNDRY!

But I do love you none the less!

And RON I want to hear how you think you can distract the players.... As I recall you didnt even make it to the finals?

:wave:You guys crack me up...

And just to get this thread back on track...there are lots of laundry services in Tulum. I can think of 6 just off the top of my head.... including a new one I'm about to try out, owned by Italians with brand new stainless steel equipment.....I'll let you know....

So far my favorites are Lava Easy, they will give same day service and is on the main street in the first block on the right....

And Burbujas, harder to find, but good service.....(means Bubbles)

Just don't go to the laundry in Villas Tulum (Chatowash). I used them 3 times and continue to be missing items. Last night was the last straw. The owner was gone and my clothes were balled up on top of the dryer wrinkled and balled up under a towel while her friend watched the place. I'm now missing 4 pair of underwear, a bra, a washcloth, a pair of socks, 1 pair of shorts, 1 blouse and 1 Tshirt. It is really a shame because it is the only one I can walk too with a week's worth of laundry. But, there are places everywhere, so it shouldn't be hard to find a new spot.

AMOC that is terrible. This year we used I think it was Lavendaria right on 307 kitty-corner from the San Francisco. Used them quite a few times and love the service! They even knew us by name when we walked up. Did a great job cleaning too!

Thanks for the rec! Do you mean the laundry is across 307 or on the same side as San Fran? That isn't too far. I'd like to avoid having to taxi my clothes to and fro. I'm here for 5 more months so I definitely need a reliable laundry...can't afford to keep losing clothes at this rate :)

See if I can get you there... East side of 307(beachside) just north of the Oxxo I think. Kind of in an alley/wLkway between two buildings. I also think it's a door or two north of the Covi. Solman2 can give you better directions if that isn't right as he almost always did our laundry run!

Ok, found the one you mentioned, it's called Lavanderia Lulu and is next to the Cervefrio up there on the Northbound side of the highway. Lava Easy is easier to get to for me on the S.bound side. There is a coin op one on Satellite Norte, just in the first block if you turn right while heading southbound on 307/Ave. Tulum at the first glorieta. I'm going to try both Lava Easy (for service) and the other for self serv and will post back as I test them out.

Great AMOC... Lavanderia Lulu was the easiest as we stay at Villas Geminis so its a good morning walk.

But yeah let us know about the coin one and the other... I think Margo has used Lava Easy if I am not mistaken?

HAHAHA! Amoc, the one in Villas is a mess. It didn't used to be so bad! But they just can't keep it together. If it makes you feel any better they folded their remote control into my laundry and I didn't notice until I got home. So here it is in Denver and there they are in Tulum unable to change the channel from across the room!

I wish it were as funny to me, but I'm here for 6 months and the only clothes they took (or perhaps misplaced) were my good ones along with all of my nice Eurosocks. More than $200 worth of clothes all told and the woman tells me I just don't know what I did with my own clothing. I'm so angry. I took a well tallied load to Lava Easy and here's hoping I get it all back. I'm going to start doing my quick dry items in the sink here at the condo.
