My husband and I will be arriving in Tulum on Jan 5th and staying for 10 weeks to spend some time in the sun and to do some volunteer work. We thought we had a place to stay but it looks like it may not work out (we leave in 3 weeks!) and so we wanted to see if anyone knew of a fully furnished apartment or small house that may be available for around $5,000 pesos a month. We would like to have internet and a full kitchen so that we could cook a lot. There was a previous post where Margot did email the person with some information. If anyone knows of anything that would be great! We know it is a low budget.

I dont have a number, but the Burbujas Laundry has apartments for $5000ps and a kitchenette. He does a good job at keeping his rooms full, but you may get lucky.
I have room in Playa Del Carmen if you want to PM me about that.

We have a possible place to stay. Its a fully furnished house about a block away from San Francisco. It sounds nice and I should be emailed photos of the place today. Down sides are that there is no washing machine and no internet. She is asking $6,000 pesos per month but may go down on the price.

But we are open to options if you know of anything else!

Does anyone know the best place to buy bicycles? Would it best to just go to WalMart in Playa?

I will let you know if I have any bites from apartments. would you be interested in Macario Gomez or do you need Tulum? I am happy to hear you have found a potential place.

We have a 2 bedroom that is available during Jan. It's located in Villas Paraiso Tulum. You can view some photos on craigslist. It's already booked for Feb. Let me know if I can help. It also has two Mtn. bikes, full kitchen, A/C, WiFi, Pool and floaty toys:beerchug:
