We were up early this morning. Had to catch the 11:00 am car ferry. I went to check out and pay my bill at the hotel. $548 US for 14 nights. Stopped to get beer and ice at Covi's then went to drop off the playpen. They weren't open. I didn't want to just leave it on the door steps so had to come up with another solution. The restaurant next door had truck deliveries so I walked over there. Found the cleaning lady (she could have been the owner) and made arrangements for her to drop off the playpen.

A last farewell to the Villa Blanca and we were on our way.

Got in line for the car ferry. There were not that many vehicles making the crossing.

It was only a wait of around 20 minutes before the ferry docked.

Unloading didn't take very long and we were one of the first to board. Drive up the ramp, back up into a parking spot, and you are done.

You get a nice view from the upper deck.

The ferry departed and we were sad to see the island disappear in the distance.

The kids were use to the ferry by now and went to play. I had to go back to the Explorer every time I wanted a cold beer. It was to hard to drag the cooler up the steep stairs with 2 kids.

We went back to the same hotel outside of Marcario Gomez.

I went up to the desk to get a room and they only had one.

It seems a few things had changed during the 2 weeks we had been gone. The entire hotel except for one room had been shut down. I never did find out why.

Anyway, we got a room with a bed and a hammock. The kids were hot and wanted to go swimming.

After everyone had relaxed for a while, I drove over to Trudy's house to say hello then went into Tulum to pick up some food. I had to stop at my favorite restaurant. Los Pepe's.

Pancho was working. His uncle owns the restaurant and he was more than happy to get me my Cocktail de Camarones to go.

Another trip to find some pasta for everyone else and I was good to go.

I can never pass through Tulum without getting my shrimp.

Night came and Bob really liked the hammock. Tomorrow we had to be at the airport. Time for bed.
