Only three more weeks to go and things are going good. Had a few phone calls this past week from Cozumel and we found a playpen to use while we are there and have a nanny to chase the kids while we have a cold beverage for $100 pesos a day. Hours 10:00am to 5:00pm. Also purchased all the items we need to bring down. 5 lbs. parmesan cheese, 1 car rotor, 2 jars of Miracle Whip, a few memory chips, 1 chain saw, fishing lures, and some speciality popcorn. Received all the new passports for my girlfriend and her 2 grandkids in 9 days. Car ferry is offering a special for $380 pesos. Driver rides free and passengers are $60 pesos each. Might be a good trip after all if I can get my girlfriend to cut down on her and the kid's luggage. I keep telling myself that it is only a 16 day trip with the rug rats. LOL

How does one pack a chain saw?

Probably not carry-on....

They won't let me bring it on as a carry on even though I am not bringing any gas with. I'll just take it out of the box and put it in a suitcase.

Condolences to Steve O, the vagabond, but this just wreaks of a good story. Betting you're gonna have a dirty rotten blast!

I think they will choose your suitcase to open when that goes through the x ray.

You get use to having your suitcase searched. Last time in the states they thought the large jar of pickel relish I was bringing down was a bomb and my metal detector was a gun.

And I thought bringing ice cream machine parts for Lucy was silly.... My travel buds are probably happy now...knowing you are muling a chain saw and I only brought machine parts! HEE HEE:D
