Sundays are turning into the happening day to be at the Tulum Beach....
Starting with Brunch at Zamas, 11:30 to 3 with a live DJ...chill music
Paul is an amazing chef........and you can't beat the atmosphere there!
You get chips and salsa and a choice of 5 breakfasts and two alcoholic beverages, careful of the Mexican Bloody Maries.....they have Vodka AND Mescal and are quite tasty......$160 pesos. Just for reference, Ocho sunday brunch with no beverages is $450 pesos. you can also order from their regular menu.
Next up is Playa Azul. They are having their Sunday Beach parties again, I think it starts at 1, but really gets going around 3...they have live music, usually some kind of world music and dj music, they barb b que hamburgers and stuff, have drink specials, bikini models, and kite board demonstrations.
But Sundays really belongs to Lazebra in my heart....
Saturday and Sunday at 6pm is free salsa lessons....you can go from not knowing one step to being able to hold your own on the dance floor in one hour! Really fun for singles, couples or groups.
Then the band takes stage around 8pm, and goes until around 11, you can keep dancing til around midnight. We're talking 9 piece Cuban band with horns and the whole bit. They often have Salsa Expositions by the teachers and their friends, sometimes in sequins and feathers and not much else! And don't worry, it is not too loud for the neighbors, I can barely hear it at Casa de las Palmas, and we are the closest neighbors!
See you SUNDAY in TULUM!
