Barb, I had some advice from the experts not long ago. They were right on!
I don't remember how I said to pour it but I use a large tablespoon resting on the inside side of the glass and pour very slow and you should get a good "pour".
I would say you need to do it until you get it right!!:D:beerchug:
Really great pic's, esp. of the food!
A tip about layering the drink. Try putting the spoon upside down against the glass and pour slowly over the spoon. Remember also that the thicker fluid item should be used first.
Thanks for taking the time!
Have fun getting it right!
Happy days - T.

Just remember you need to tweak it depending on the limes! Boy, I need to make myself some now!!
Give us some feedback on how it goes! There is nothing more refreshing than a good glass of sangria ~ whoops, yes there is ~ more than one glass:D

I wonder if you could layer the sangria on top of frozen margarita. I've had frozen sangria swirled with a frozen margarita and it was yummy!!!

Now I want one, too and it's only 9:00AM . I just know someone is going to say it's five o'clock somewhere!! :D

My favorite Sangria recipe
1 bottle red wine (Merlot)
3/4 cup rum
1 cup OJ
1/2 lemon
1/2 lime
1/2 orange
1/2 cup sugar
1) Chill all ingredients (including wine).
2) Combine sugar and rum in a pitcher. Mix.
3) Cut lemon, lime and orange in to half slices. Add to sugar and rum. Chill for 2 hours to let flavors blend.
4) Crush fruit with spoon.
5) Add wine and OJ. Stir.

Minniemex is also a big fan of the Tulum sangria, but she's away for the weekend. Perhaps she'll see this when she gets back and will post if she's found the recipe. I might have to try it!
Ok, I do have a recipe I have tested and tested and finally is pretty good!!
Take the juice of 1 lime.
Add bar syrup to taste (depends on tartness of lime and personal tastes) You can make your own ~ equal parts sugar and water boiled and cooled.
Put this in a glass, tall and thin is best, add either sparkling water or 7up or sprite to taste ( everyone has their own sweetness limit!!)
Put a large spoon up against the side of the glass and slowly pour a red wine in. I have used all kinds and it just changes the taste somewhat. I have used a Shiraz, merlot and sometimes just a "sangria" wine. You will have to tweek this to your tastes.

Also last night I played with the "margarita" a bit ~
Mixed equal parts of a good tequila and cointreau and sweetened fresh lime juice. Yum yum!! Petty good buzz too!!
Whoo hoo it worked!!

When I was re-reading the other thread, I saw that Beachreader (who is in Mexico right now:o) asked how you drink it. You do mix it all together before sipping.:beerchug:
