The Villas has availability - we cant rent the entire villa for a family trip - but I was not able to tell if it is nudist place which would be a surprise to say the least for my mom and dad - does anyone know how it works?

If you rent the entire place and keep your clothes on, it will not be a nudist place ;-)...Villa Dolce Vita is clothing optional...you can do as you prefer. A family trip sounds ideal for VDV...

I noticed on your other thread that you were looking for accommodations for parents and siblings and yourself? The two rooms at VDV each have just one "queenish" bed..pic below...somebody's gonna have to sleep on the floor unless Connie or Chris can furnish a cot...

MF is right...i would suggest: Nah Uxibal, or Casa de Corazon. Nah uxibal, you can rent the main house, and the suites and the casitas or all, or some... Casa de corazon: # 1 is great, and 2 is great too! 3 is good too, but back further. You might want to book 2 of the casitas..and i believe there are specials right now through the year! ..a very good choice, actually... Check it out on line... Casa de corazon, books throughLoco Gringo.com and Nah Uxibal has their own website: nahuxibal.com We know both owners and have stayed at both places. LOVE them both, and the owners are awesome! ALSO: ...both have pools. villa dolce vita: the owners are clothing optional people in general. The accomodations will not suit your family.

I would agree with ILW.........Nah-Uxibal or Casa Corazon would be perfect for you, with my nod going to Nah-Uxibal's beautiful main house, first. http://www.nahuxibal.com/ I also like the location on Soliman, better than where VDV is located......it's rockier there.

Even though the owners of Villa Dolce Vida are co, that shouldn't deter you from staying there if it fits your budget better. If you rent both rooms, and let them know you would be uncomfortable with their being "nekkid", I think they would be ok with their guest's wishes. Write and let them know your concerns.
