Just wondering how many folks here have Tulum photos as their desktop/laptop wallpapers.
This is mine at the moment:

I just love picturing myself on that deck.
I may shift it soon to something I would like to be looking at from my deck, like a sunrise or something. That's usually what I do, bounce between views of buildings and views of sea and such.
What do you have?

Well, here at work I have one of Sue's photos from CeSIAK... it's not up on photobucket though. At home I have one of Laura's (Ilovewyoming's) photos from Hamaca Loca, the one with the dew drops on the palapa in the morning sunrise. I'll try to post it tonight, or maybe Laura will if she sees this!

My wife and I and our two favourite travelmates in front of our sign at the Xamach palapa. Close enough to a Tulum picture I figure!!:sun:

It's not wallpaper, but I wish it was...I found this video online of the world's second largest saltwater aquarium. Anybody looking at (or being bullied into) swimming with whale sharks should watch this....not at all the same experience, but a very moving prequel (or in my case, sequel) to the majesty of these amazing creatures...

Wow, if that was your wallpaper, you'd never open any files! How cool is that place? I lived in Okinawa back in the mid-80s, they certainly didn't have anything like that then. Glad they've done something like this.

So, is that low tide, and if so, could you walk from the Conchita beach over to Copal's? I think when I was there it must have been high tide, crashing waves on the rocks, no way to walk below the bungalows. Of course, that was like three years ago, and the shore changes a lot.

Here is the one I have on my computer at work ~ I usually do have a beach shot, but took this one of my GS and it just seems like that smile is just for me:p

Aw, so cute! And of course, we could say the picture was taken in Tulum, just with the closeup of his face you couldn't see the palm tree in the background. :)

No, this is the view back toward the Copal beach, taken from the base of the stairs between Azulik's units 2 & 3. The rocky outcropping from this point south projects out into the surf until you get to Conchita's beach. I have heard tales of being able to walk around the headland, but it's not a low tide thing, more of a beach and sand shift event.

Beachreader, I think we all know where yours is so no one guessed. For those who don't know I will say it is La Luna:star::margarita::palmtree:.

Andrew Sullivan's blog linked to this today too, so it must be making the rounds. How relaxing! I could look at that all day.
So here's my question. If this is the world's second largest saltwater aquarium, where's the largest? Is it Monterey?

I love seeing all of the great pictures. I have this picture of my wife on my computer's current wallpaper, although I've been thinking about changing it to one of our recent Tulum trip. Sadly, this wasn't taken in Tulum, but was in PDC a couple of years ago.
