Does anyone know how to reach Hechizo for reservations? I found an email address, hechizo at bigfoot dot com, but it was returned to me. We've heard such awesome things here on the board we wanted to go there when we head south in June.

That is the correct email address for them, I'd double-check that you didn't make a typo or fat-finger a key while addressing.

One note, they are about to, or already have, closed for low season. We ate there last Saturday night, and it was fabulous, but we may have had one of the final reservations.

You should get a reply to your email tho, once it goes through.

Yea! I can answer a question....I used the yahoo.com address and got a quick reply..this for Xmas Eve! I was thrilled.
So hang in there, they will get back.

Hechizo's does answer its email and was prompt in responding to us for reservations last February. It is a great spot with fantastic food. Heenan

Just got a response from them and I don't feel like typing a recap so here it is:

hola jeanne,

thank you for writing to us.

we do have availability for saturday, feb. 14th. our seating times are 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 9:00pm. also, please note that on this evening, we will be serving a special prix fix menu instead of our usual a la carte fare. we are putting the final touches on the menu, and should be able to send it to you to peruse in the next week.

should you wish to dine with us when we have our a la carte offering, we are open tuesdays through sundays (closed every monday). seating times are 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 9:00pm.

reservations are not necessary, but advisable, as we are a small restaurant. reservations may be made through this e-mail address, or if you are already in the tulum area, you may call our cellular phone at (984) 1000-710.

to complete your reservation, please let us know the number of people in your party, the date and seating time you would prefer, and your contact information here in mexico (working cellular phone number and/or hotel, and the name your room is reserved under).

Thanks for the info, but perhaps you (or we, Minnie?) should change that e-mail addie so they don't get slammed with spam. Just adding a space or two should work, or change the @ to at.
