DiamanteK next time

Guys, I'm going to relive my first trip to Tulum my next time down. That means staying at DiamanteK for a few nights. Trip Advisor quotes an average price of $125. Could this be true? Holy guacamole! That's a price increase of 400% since the last time I stayed there. I believe I paid something like $30. Does anyone have any recent pics of the cabanas? I need to see if they have made drastic changes or is this just Tulum inflation in action.

I think they show what they believe to be the average price of all seasons..and of course it depends on what room you get too..but from what I understand, there are still rooms there for around $60.

If I don't bring much with me to Mexico (and I never have) you can have it all. My credit cards and cash always stay on my person. If you want my bad ass Jimi Hendrix and Pantera board short...go for it.

You know I made so many great friends the first time there and never lost a thing. In fact, I felt protected. But that was '01 so what do I know.

I think Diamante K is a beautiful property..the pictures never seem to do it justice, I was really suprized the first time I saw it in person. I never need much by way of service, so that part doesn't worry me either..all I need is seafront so I don't roast. LOL.

I am thinking about those little cabanas at Mayan Grill myself..lol..I do the same thing you do..travel really light, keep everything I need on me..if they want to steal my crappy clothes..heck, I'll give those away..:rolleyes:
