Hi Everyone - I'm getting my scuba certification in Tulum and wondering if anyone has had a good/bad experience with any of the dive shops? Also wondering if it's common for them to ask for a deposit upfront?

Terrible Experience with Aquatica Tulum Dive Center (the one at Zacil Kin). Run...do not walk...do not pass Go...do not collect $200...from this place. Bad equipment, terrible instructors, poorly trained staff.
