bus is super easy, cheap and fun. I didn't even think to check at the airport for ADO direct to Tulum so I can't answer that.

the bus leaves from one terminal and goes to the next terminal; but I can't remember which terminal we were in to tell you 3 to 2 or 2 to 3. But if you miss it at the first terminal; you can walk to the other. And yes you can walk to the other. We did for return flight from the ADO bus as it dropped us off in the other terminal.

the bus into playa goes right into the ADO bus station; so you get right off and go to the ticket counter for bus to Tulum. Easy. The only option we were given was 2nd class to Tulum. The bus was nice but AC was not effective so it got hot and no movie; I believe it made 1-2 brief stops.

we did notice at the bus station in PLAYA that it GOES TO DOS OJOS!
It also goes to XelHa and a bunch of other locations! Which I was excited about! :eat-drink: Future trip ideas.

Riding about Tulum on a bike was great. $8 per bike though so not cheaper than a cab but fun good exercise and easy. Easy to lock them up too. The bike path to pueblo was great! It was also nice riding from a beach bar to a restaurant from the beach road. We weren't too hot and it was an easy ride places.

Taxis were reasonable and fast. $4 from La Luna to Ruins or north area. $6 to pueblo.

Yep yep! Buses are so great for traveling up and down the RM. I did the bike in Akumal. I did have a few stumbles this trip which included a late night stroll through the jungle.

You wanna talk about a perfect form of transportation...bike riding in Akumal is sweet. It is so small that the $5/day bike is a must.
