UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
We don't wanna be home! And it's cold! 52 degrees in May??
Thanks for the welcome home! And thanks for the mention Doug...that's a great shot! The effect is nice. Would you believe I could not do that with my new Pentax? There is a setting change they made between the K10D I used last year, and the K20D I have this year. I would have to go and tweek the custom settings, but I wasn't about to pull the manual out in Tulum!
This was really a great trip...more social that our other trips, thanks to this forum. We met some really great people. Well, I can say that everyone on this board that I have met so far, has such a love for Tulum! At Azulik, we met Jack and Diane from the TripAdvisor forum (freeport53), who were in the cabana next to us, Tom and Susan (Tranquilo Tomas), Aj, Joyinthesand, Anyman, and the multi-talented and most gracious host, Margo. Met someone new to the forum at the Mayan Grille (nMcarthy) as she was traveling with her family, and introduced herself. We also visited with our masseuse friend formerly of Maya Spa, Chandree, at her place in Sian Ka'an. We both had massages with her and she made a nice lunch for us.
We ate at 90% new places (for us), and had some really great and new spa treatments....man...it was pure paradise. the Maya Spa has some really great therapists.
Most of the items we brought back were FOOD! Tamales from the Pueblo, Copal's coffee (yes, it is fresh brewed, not instant!) and fresh made mole's..three different types, from the San Francisco Market, and a fruiteria Margo told us about.
Had a run in with the Pemex ladron (theif) and have a photo of the pendejo! Ha ha ...can't wait to tell you all about that one...man, Alice scared ME! We both tore into this guy...what a scene that developed, and at 7:00 AM!
Sorry, I have to sort the photos, and we are still unpacking, so maybe during the week I will get back in the groove and out of this Tulum mode we are still stuck in, and get some photos up.

Welcome home, sounds like a great trip, can't wait to hear about it!
Phyllis, I think it's only going to be like 72 here on Memorial Day. This has been one crazy spring, but at least I'm saving on electricity! The A/C won't be going on here until well into June, I'm sure. Love that.

It was pretty sad when I heard the furnace kick on today. And to think I pouring sweat in a Tulum market stall yesterday!

Thanks! Well, we got gasoline twice. I had practiced my Spanish with a guy at work, and was able to say what I wanted quickly, so the first fill-up went well, even though we got eyed up and down by the jefe guy that runs the scam. My wife made me turn my baseball cap around so I wouldn't look so American. The second fill-up went well, until we started to leave the station......I'll also venture to say that it wasn't the situation you think....and with that, I'll leave you hangin'.....sorry....
