Hey all, I'll be heading down the coast at the end of the month and have heard about camping on the beach in the "Cabanas Santa Fe". It seems the old website is gone, and all the info is from several years ago. Is this still open?? If not, are there any other similar options for beach camping near Tulum? Thanks in advance for the help!

It is still there as far as I know...unless it is covered up with sand..last time I was by there, the cabanas looked like they were in the middle of a sand dune..sand 1/2 way up the sides..pretty quirky, but looked kind of kewl!

It's really rustic. Really rustic. Not for everyone, but if you like to camp (like I do) it would be a rather neat place to hang out for a couple of days!

I hope that contact number is still a good one..let us know if you make contact!

If not, you probably can show up early and get a cabana for the night. It's been really windy on Tulum beach..unbelievably windy in May..more like Jan-March wind..If you are pitching a tent, be sure to take something along to secure it..or you will probably be chasing it as it blows away.
