Leaving for Tulum May 14-20. I stumbled upon this website and I have to say..I am so impressed with both Tulum and all of you.I have been in the travel business for over 25 years. Was looking for a place to meet up with my 3 boys for a nice family vacation and Mexico seemed like the place. We have been to Cancun and to PDC many times. Think we stayed at one of the 1st beach hotels in Playa back in the early 90's.Done the AI thing several times, but although it is a nice way to go..been there done that and now looking for something a bit of the beaten track. Recently went to Yelapa and stayed at Verana. Very expensive(can only afford it cause I am in the business) but loved being so remote and taken away from the tourist scene. So I thought I would check out and see what was in Tulum as I have not been in several years. Well..I have become addicted to your posts and threads and read for hours. I have read trip reports all the way back to 2005. I cannot say that I have ever read a travel forum so passionate and so informative. I usually try not to revist a place that I have been before..but you all have made me feel that Tulum is where I will want to live and die and could possiblly never feel the need to travel anywhere else! I leave on Wednesday with my husband and 3 boys 21,26 and 26. We are staying at Nuevda Vida in a 2 bedroom bungalow called Espiritu Maya . We all love to be active and I have so many good ideas from you all. We are also all Foodies and looking forward to our reservations at Hechizo and to our take away dinner at Bronco Pollo.
So just a quick thank you to all you regulars.Windy City is my idol..his wonderful writing and incredible pictures make me feel the warmth and soul of Tulum already. I understand he is there now and hope to perhaps stumble into him..
Off in 3 days, but had to just check in and sya thanks.:):):)
