Leslie, you can also do a search using the Advanced Search function (click Search and then Advanced), find by my username the thread I posted on Puerto del Cielo (it's actually spelled Puerta, though).

I put some pictures of it from last December, before they were actually open, and in a later post I put the contact e-mail for them that I got when Gale and I stopped by in March for lunch. I can't find the e-mail here on my desk, but that's where it is.

We stopped and looked around Puerto del Cielo on our last trip to Tulum in February. It looked nice. The larger cabanas were all in use so we could not get a real tour. But we did take some pictures that are posted here:

I think the rates for the cabanas were $200 per night, if I understood the mostly Spanish conversation I tried to have with one of the employees at the resort.

Trish, not much of a pool. It was actually empty in March when we were there, but it's small, just a dipping pool, though a bit deeper than Zulum's really shallow pool.

Margo, what do you mean it's J Lo's place? Does she own it, or has she visited it, or are you talking about another JLo than the one I'm thinking of? :D

A friend of mine was the manager until recently, and another friend of mine was the contractor that built the pool and bar....and yes, she owns it! THAT J Lo:dollarsign:

How funny! Maybe we'll see her behind the bar sometime.

It's a nice little place, huge stretch of beach. They need more beach furniture if they're going to work as a beach club (maybe that part hadn't opened as of March), but nice.

When I first stopped by there in December, the guy who showed me the rooms (still under construction) said that the big casitas were going to have TV and A/C, but in March they said no, so I guess they discovered the reality of electricity down there.
