so sad:mad: after a 2 1/2 delay in take-off :airplane:we arrived at the airport in Minneapolis at 2:10am this morning. As I did everything possible to escape from the world with no news at all I was sad to see that not only did the snow not melt while we were gone but more was added to it. Oh how I long for the sand between the toes feeling!

trip report to come later in the week but Tulum and the surrounding area far exceeded my expectations. Aside from the beaches what keeps me coming back to Mexico is the the charming local people you meet in the towns and on the streets. I think it is the friendliest place in the world to visit.

So glad to hear that your trip was successful. Rest up a bit, and we'll patiently look forward to your trip report!

PS I agree: sand between the toes beats snow inside your boots any old day!

Cheers,
Kathy

I'm sorry Susan! I don't do snow. There are no states or countries or people (except my son) that I would not leave to get away from it.

But I do know about the Mexico hangover. It's a pain in your heart that lingers for weeks or even months. The only cure is to get yourself a big old home made margarita or mojito, write your trip report (remembering all of the great times), and start planning the next trip. It's like a beautiful lover. The only cure is a new one. :)

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_30_117.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxmk762YYUS) susan! The pain of being back can only be reduced by the expectation of a return trip...though writing a trip report is good therapy! :)
