Thanks for the kind "Welcome Back". Trying to get back in the swing of things with work :( and home life - would much rather be in Tulum!

We really enjoyed Zulum and would stay there again no problem. I will post some "observations" later (I'm not a trip report kind of person :))

Sounds like it has been windy, windy, windy in Tulum from other reports!!! I'll definitely be interested in your observations of Zulum.... looks like a great place to stay, but I'm a little put off by their general lack of responsiveness to inquiries that we've heard about.

I have to live vicariously through all of you folks going on trips--who knows when I'll get back. November, hopefully, but man that seems like such a long way out!!!!

EXTREMELY WINDY for a couple of the days in the middle of our stay- there was one day that I actually couldn't sit on the beach without getting sandblasted - "forced" to spend the day on our balcony :). I was starting to think that this was how it always was in Tulum - but the winds finally died down for our last couple of days.

Sergio was not there - the chef's name was Marco. Very good food though and we were extremely pleased with his cooking.
