Posada Margherita Reservations??

Hey folks,

Want to welcome a new poster, MikeinMaine, who just posted a question over on the Intros thread about getting reservations at PM.

Here's his question:


Leaving for Tulum, in a couple a weeks, our first time, want to try Posada Margarita. Should we make reservations before we leave , and can you make reservations via e mail or do we need to call.

I told him I thought people just kinda stopped in sometime when they were already down there but I'm happy to be corrected if that's not the case!

You're right, Phyllis...most folks just walk up in the afternoon and make them for that night or later in the week. We've never eaten there when it was high season so we've never had a problem with same-day reserves. I do think you can email them but I don't think it is necessary.

I thought he meant reservations for the rooms, but if it's just for the restaurant, yes, most people just stop by on their first day and make the reservation then. Still, it might be worth trying for an e-mail, if they have e-mail.

I figured he meant the restaurant, since they are leaving in a couple of weeks. But maybe they are winging it with hotel reservations and he was looking for that info, you could be right.

I don't have any email contact info for them though.
