hotel akumal caribe

I have turned my attention from PDC to Akumal in the hope of finding wheelchair accessible accommodation. Found the Hotel Akumal Caribe with the disabled symbol and it looks and sounds a lovely place. Has anyone stayed there, does anyone know what it is like?

The Caribe is Akumals first Hotel, it's old but not ratty. I've not stayed there but have visited friends that were staying there, the rooms are small but clean and the location is right in the center of Akumal next to Lol-ha restaurant.
If your expecting a frilly 5 star room, this is not the place. If you are looking for just a nice clean place to crash in at the end of the day, it would be a good choice, and I'm sure you would feel that it is a good value.
