Tulum Shopping?

Greetings, We just joined a large group coming down in early April to Tulum. Bahia Grand Principle.

Last year visited PDC RIU and gained a wealth of info from playainfo.com (I believe) the site was.

Wondering if there are any stores near by for Name Brand Liquor, snacks, water bottles ect.?

Last year I took a Taxi from RIU to Walmart in PDC and was able to get everything.

Suggestions???

Hey Bill! Welcome to TI.

I'd suggest reposting your question over on the general forum, rather than the Intros thread. This forum doesn't get nearly the same traffic. You may also want to try the search feature and search for "alcohol" or "liquor" or something like that. I know TheWindyCity and AdGuy and a few others had a conversation about best places to get liquor several months ago.

You may still want to stop in Playa on your way down, since I think BGP isn't quite all the way to Tulum.

Hi Bill and welcome. We have found our best liquor prices at Covi....there's one on 307 in PDC.

Actually, the Bahia Principe complex isn't very near Tulum at all. It is just south of Akumal, probably a 20 minute drive from Tulum.
