deep sea fishing

Hello all. I would like to plan a day or half day of deep sea fishing for my b/f and I while on our first trip to Tulum in July. Any recommendations? I'm thinking of possibly somewhere in Cozumel just from what I've researched but thought that this group of experts may have some sound advice. Thanks in advance!!

Not a big fisherman but I'd suggest scheduling a trip out of PDC or Cozumel. Make sure to negotiate if there's several charters there as prices are pretty flexible.

here's a link to some charter options, except for the pangas, these probably will leave out of P. Aventuras, +/- 20 minutes north of Tulum. Deep sea fishing is usually pretty close to the shore since the channel is not far away
