Since we just now opened up this introductions forum, I might as well start it off with one of my own.
I left Maryland in '93 and drove to Mexico City where I lived and worked for about four years. I moved to Guadalajara for a six month assignment and while there became a divemaster and hung out quite a bit at Puerto Vallarta and cruised the Pacific coast with my very generous boss on his yacht. I had a business trip to Italy canceled, which bummed me out, so I took an impromptu trip to the Caribbean (again) and did some serious pondering about things like life, shiny shoes, neckties and European girls.
Long story short, I met a Swedish girl in Playa at La Ruina and we both got stuck there. I became an instructor and got into cave diving. After a few years we decided to do something together as a business and created a website to support that business, which we ended up not continuing, instead focusing on the site (playa.info). 2 kids and ten years later, we moved to Sweden to be closer to family and enjoy the benefits of raising children in Scandinavia.
