Hello all...Spent 10 days in Playa in early January and fell in love with your beautiful piece of mother earth. Only got to spend 1 day in Tulum
so hoping to get back to spend more time there later this year.
I look forward to learning more about area and hope our journies cross sometime in the not too distant future.
Ciao,
Paul

Welcome Paul (in flashing letters)! LOL Couple of questions...What was your first impression of Tulum? What did you get to do and see for the day you were there?

Welcome Paul...don't be a stranger! By the way, Kayt...can we get a second sticky? We definitely need to get the Introduce Yourself post up to the top. We just can't expect poor Phyllis to bump it everyday! :D

Hey, Everyone. I haven't been active on this board in quite a while so thought I'd reintroduce myself. My name's Ken and live in the Houston, TX area. I go by the handle "Kenster" most places though occasionally it's Kensterfly reflecting my 21 years in the airline business (retired), being a private pilot, and my current career in the travel business.

I started going to Tulum about eight years ago, seeking a wind-down at the end of a rough year of teaching high school freshmen. (another short lived career). It was then that I discovered Cabanas Copal. I have returned to Copal and /or Azulik each year since. I'll be there again this year for eight nights beginning April 22. Anyone else going to be around then?

I get emails all the time from people who have read my posts and trip reports on the various message boards. I enjoy helping people by making suggestions and offering tips to make their stay in Tulum more enjoyable.

I have actually, on several occasions, accidentally run into people in Tulum who had contacted me for information!

So, cheers to all of you! May all your paths lead you to Tulum! I travel all over the world for a living now but for my own holidays I will always choose the beaches of Tulum.

Ken,
Great to hear from you! you know it was because of you that we got hooked on Tulum and Azulik/Copal. We are headed for our third trip this May. Enjoy your upcoming trip and please....give us another trip report...maybe with some photos?? Say hello to Amanda (and the baby?) at Trece Lunas as well. Can't wait to visit her place.

I had just sent you a PM when you're reply to my post came through.
I'll tell Amanda you said Hi and that you'll be there soon. I tried to email her after the baby was due but have not heard back from her. I think the baby was born last summer. Tres Lunas will be one of my first stops when I arrive in April.
Cheers,
Ken
