Trip Report from a Tulum Newbie?

I've been digging around in my journal and photo archives to answer a few questions on this and other boards, and I realized I had enough material to put together a trip report on our first visit to Tulum in June of 2006. This was before I found this wonderful forum, and learned the fine art of preparing extended trip reports. Is anyone interested in hearing the impressions of a Tulum first timer?

Actually I think trip reports from first timers are the best ones. I love seeing Tulum again through the eyes of someone who hasn't been before!!!
